Abstract

2-Aminopyrrole and 1-substituted-2-aminopyrroles react with DMAD in less than two minutes to give a mixture of E and Z vinyl pyrroles (Michael adducts). No evidence of Diels-Alder cycloaddition was found even at -35°C.
