Abstract
Ceramic engineering and materials science includes applications in areas as aerospace, medicine, computing, energy, communications and housewares. With this, a need to prepare the engineering students to work in this field is seen. Graduates in these fields need to be well-rounded, competent engineers who can communicate their ideas to others. Work together in a team, be creative thinkers, utilize ever-evolving technology and see their jobs in perspective with social and economic impact on society.
