Abstract

Atomic beams of **3He and **4He were scattered from clean surfaces of NaF. Selective adsorption was observed, and the energy spectrum of the selectively adsorbed states determined. A 3-9 model potential yields energy eigenvalues in excellent agreement with the experiment.
