Abstract

The procedures outlined in this article are just a few of the standard methods and new advances in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea\hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS). Thorough examination of patients' airways is necessary for identification of areas of obstruction and creation of a successful treatment plan. Multilevel therapy has been accepted as the standard for treatment because many patients have multiple levels of airway obstruction. It is important to be aware of multiple techniques for airway reconstruction to be able to tailor therapy to meet individual patient's needs.
