Sustainable biohydrogen production

Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

Abstract

Bruce Logan of Pennsylvania State University has developed a reactor that makes efficient and sustainable hydrogen production from any type of biodegradable organic matter by electrohydrogenesis. The developed reactor, based on a modified microbial fuel cell, is generating hydrogen at a yield of maximum of 99% of theoretical from acetic acid.
