Synthesis of fine nickel powders by glycothermal process

Abstract

Synthesis of fine nickel powders by glycothermal process was investigated. The pure crystalline phase of Ni powders were obtained at 230°C in an ethylene glycol. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and diffraction pattern showed that the synthesized particles were crystalline. Results suggested that the synthesis of the fine Ni powders with crystalline phase was possible under mild temperature and pressure condition in ethylene glycol solution.
