Abstract

An introductory engineering design course by all engineering freshmen at the Altoona College of the Pennsylvania State University is discussed. There are three components of this three credit-hour course which include computer skills, graphical skills ant team-based engineering design projects. The engineering design projects conducted by students are also outlined. The faculty at the Altoona College primarily uses lecture method to teach this engineering design course.
