Abstract
In this paper the results of temperature measurements made on refrigerated trailers are given. The purpose of the experiments was to investigate the temperature pull down and distribution inside refrigerated trailers just after loading with previously uncooled perishables. The number of measurement locations can be reduced considerably if the purpose is to get an idea about uniformity only. To obtain details of the ventilating system and reduce random errors, approximately 30 measurement locations may be sufficient.
