Abstract

An analytical approximation for the folding of a single viscous layer at small but finite limb-dip is used to evaluate fold shape up to limb-dips of 20°-30°. For ratios of medium viscosity to layer viscosity smaller than about 0.2 folds in the wavelength/thickness range of 4-15 develop a nearly parallel form.
