The influences of heat treatment temperature on the textures in a new Ti-A1-Mo-V-Fe-B titanium alloy thin sheet are studied by means of orientation distribution function (ODF). It is discovered for α + β titanium alloys that, if the heat treatment is lower than the Tβ temperature, the β → α transformation on cooling is mainly affected by original α phase, and the new texture of α phase would be very similar to that of the original α phase. If the heat treatment is above the Tβ temperature, α phase transformed from β phase completely follows the Burgers' relationships, and its texture would be different from that of the original α phase. Therefore, in order to change the texture of α phase in α + β titanium alloy by heat treatment, the temperature should be higher than Tβ.
