Undergraduate research in propulsion at penn state harrisburg

Abstract

This paper describes current efforts at Penn State Harrisburg to increase undergraduate student interest in aerospace propulsion topics. A summary of past and present projects with undergraduate student participation is provided and a discussion of the operational constraints for student participation is provided. Future initiatives are also discussed along with some of the challenges observed in undergraduate propulsion research. The paper concludes a discussion of lessons learned during the past seven years of propulsion research.
