Wavefront Conjugation in Nematic Liquid Crystal Films

We report the results of wavefront conjugation experiments in nematic liquid crystal films using low-power CW laser beams. The dependences of the efficiency on the film thickness and other parameters are discussed. The ability of the process to compensate for wavefront distortion is explicitly demonstrated.
