Wetting behavior in three‐component polymer blends

Abstract

We determine the interfacial properties of a three‐component polymer blend in three‐phase coexistence. We discuss how the presence of the third component affects the behavior of the interface between two phases. We demonstrate the existence of a wetting transition in which one of the minority phases wets the other. Our results indicate that both first‐ and second‐order wetting transitions occur.
